2023 Barrel Select Reserve Pinot Noir

This Pinot is a blend of only four of the very best barrels from the spectacular 2023 vintage.  Like Chicago, the ‘City of Broad Shoulders’, this Pinot is a broad shouldered, strong pinot with intense dark garnet color and an incredible array of wonderful aromas and flavors.   Put your nose into the glass and you will smell aromas of rain-washed forest floor, Bing cherry, nutmeg, with a ribbon of cranberry woven into the bouquet.  In your mouth, you will enjoy Bing, mushroom, nutmeg, and black pepper.  The robust tannins are matched exquisitely with deep flavors and perfect acidity.  This is going to be an age-worthy wine that will sit perfectly in the cellar for decades; we suggest you buy some to enjoy and drink now and some to set down in your own cellar.   A great food wine, and wonderful enough to enjoy as a stand alone glass in your comfy chair by the fire in the cold of winter.
